"and the payments always went through fine"
i've used withhugo a few times now and the payments have always gone through without failing or getting stuck. It's been easy to use so far.

"Pretty easy to handle my policy"
I used withhugo to look over and update my policy, and it was simple enough. It didn’t take much time, and I found what I needed without having to call anyone, which is always better because… yeah. So far, everything’s been fine and I haven’t run into any issues.

"Mobile site felt weirdly difficult to use"
I tried using withhugo.com on my phone, it felt like the site did not want me to get anything done. Pages were loading slowly, a few buttons were annoying to tap, and I had to refresh more than once just to make it through basic steps. Maybe it was just bad timing, but part of me was wondering if the mobile version was secretly being neglected on purpose.

It did work eventually, so I can’t say it was totally broken, but the whole thing felt clunky and frustrating. Maybe the desktop version is where they’re hiding the smooth experience, but on mobile, I definitely would not be in a hurry to use it again.

"Billing could’ve been clearer"
The site itself worked fine for me, no major issues there. But the billing part was a bit confusing. I didn’t realize there were extra charges until later, and when I asked support, the explanation was kind of vague, like it sort of answered my question but not really. I just wish the prices and renewal terms had been shown more clearly upfront, because otherwise you’re left thinking...

Well... Hugo was fine overall, but I do wish the eligibility details had been a little more clear before I got too far into it. Some of the questions seemed basic at first, but then later it felt like underwriting had extra rules that weren’t really explained up front.

I did end up getting an answer, so it wasn’t a bad experience, just not as straightforward as I expected. It left me a little unsure about what actually affected the final result.

I missed a payment and my coverage lapsed, so I was stressed about getting it fixed. I’m always a little worried with insurance stuff that there’s going to be some catch or I’m going to get fooled into paying extra, but Hugo made it straightforward. I logged in, paid what I needed to, and my proof updated fast the same day. The app isn’t perfect every time, but it definitely saved me a headache...

I signed up on withhugo.com and my coverage was active almost instantly, which was a big relief. I was ready for it to be a hassle, but then it just kind of worked. Overall, I had a good experience with Hugo!! The communication was clear, and I usually knew what was going on, which I really appreciated... There was one time I had to wait a bit longer than expected for a reply, but it wasn’t a huge deal!!! I’d say 4 stars for communication.

"Easy to start, but the options left me kind of disappointed"
I was actually in a hopeful mood when I started with Hugo because getting set up felt simple and quick. But once I started looking through the coverage choices, that good feeling faded a bit because the options seemed limited for what I needed.
It might be fine if you’re just looking for something really basic, but for me it felt a little too bare bones. I ended up feeling a bit let down because I had to give up things I usually expect in a plan, and I really wish they offered more flexible choices.

Canceling my policy wasn’t impossible, but it was more of a hassle than I expected. I had to click around, wait on support, and basically lose patience over something that should’ve taken a couple minutes. Hugo makes it easy to start a policy, but canceling really needs to be faster and less annoying...

I reached out because I was charged and wanted to get it sorted out. The agent did handle the issue in the end, so I’m not too worried about an update or anything right now, but the chat felt rushed. They came across a little rude, which made the whole thing kind of awkward.

"Getting my insurance proof was a hassle"
The price was decent so I was fine with that part but getting my proof of insurance was way more annoying than I expected.
I logged in and the page kept acting weird then once I finally found the document it would not load right on my phone. I had to try it a few different times before it worked.
Support was okay just not very quick. I only needed to show my insurance card and somehow it turned into a whole thing.
